Thoughts While Watching

  • She definitely fell for Ashok. First client, in another episode she says she sees him every other week, sharing books, she actually bothers to try to justify the wife thing here, it’s all definitely crossing the line. I know she gets her heart broken in the episode with Naomi.
  • I wish I had her lingerie. More importantly, I wish I looked good enough to pull it off. I’d look terrible in it!
  • That little shoulder kiss while he’s asleep…she definitely fell for Ashok so hard.
  • I love her friendship with Ben. They’re so cute! Is this the only scene where we actually see Vanessa? I’m surprised they never really let us see her. But oh my God, Ben is so funny when he knows he’s about to get sex.
  • This show isn’t that old, but I doubt that trans joke would fly today. I love her friendship with this hotel employee too. It’s cute.
  • This guy from the hotel bar seems familiar. I’m kinda wondering if I’ve seen the actor in something else but I’m too lazy to imdb him right now.
  • I love when she looks at the camera like she’s on The Office.
  • 3 hours 41 minutes? Damn… Of just this the whole time? I can’t imagine anything more boring.
  • Whoa…that wouldn’t fly today either. She sticks her finger up his ass without warning or consent and then says, “If you ask them first, 90% will say no. But hey, once it’s up there…” Yikes. She just sexually assaulted this guy and it’s played off as a joke. I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable right now.
  • Her description of herself as a real girlfriend sounds like me if I’m being honest.
  • I love her and Ben so much. I love that she calls him first thing when she gets off work.

Final Thoughts

That was a fun episode but I’m a little shocked at what she did to that guy from the bar. I don’t think I ever viewed it that way before but it’s definitely not a good thing. Alright, on to the next one!

I took about a two month break from my rewatch. Since I last reviewed an episode I've been working on a Robin Hood fanfic (the rough draft is finished and I'm editing now and trying to work up the courage to post it), rewatching random episodes of other shows (kinda on a Charmed kick lately), and started a new rewatch of Robin Hood with a fan group I'm in. I've also, of course, been dealing with real life. I know quarantine is over for most people, but not my family! I'll still be out of work until at least the end of August (I work in a school and while I absolutely love my job, I'm honestly considering looking for a new one because I'm really concerned about the uncertainty of the upcoming school year) and my husband is still mostly working from home. At least that means I still have time to watch my shows! I think another reason the rewatch has been going so much slower for season three is that my heart is really just not in it. Robin Hood 2x03 "Childhood"

This is a really cute episode! I loved seeing how the gang has already become legendary enough that they've reached a kind of superhero status for the local children who play as their favorite outlaw. The kids were adorable and the whole episode was sweet and fun. I definitely rewatch this one a lot and I'm excited to see it again, so let's begin! Alright, Guy fans...this pic is for you! Thoughts While Watching: The episode starts out with four little boys playing Robin Hood. We know which one is supposed to be Robin himself (Daniel), but I'm wondering who each of the rest of them are supposed to be. There's six outlaws total at this point so not all of them are going to be represented. I'm not sure if their outfits are just what they normally wear or if they're supposed to be dressed up as their chosen outlaw, because one of them seems to be wearing an outfit similar to Will's and another looks like he's wearing a vest that sort of remind...

Robin Hood 2x08 "Get Carter!"

This episode is super fun and introduces everyone's favorite minor character! There are so many fans that just ignore the fact that Carter is only a two episode guest character and include him in their lists of main characters and he's even in the list of filter options for most fanfic sites. He's an instant fan favorite, an extremely popular character, and I personally think he would've made an excellent gang member. Think of how much better season three could've been if Carter had survived the sheriff's attack and the king would have sent him back to England to recover from his wound! This show continuously comes very close to greatness and then drops the ball and this is just one more example of that. Anyway, let's get started!
