Secret Diary of a Call Girl 1x03

I’m on a roll tonight! Third episode back to back, let’s get started!

Thoughts While Watching

  • She definitely fell for Ashok. First client, in another episode she says she sees him every other week, sharing books, she actually bothers to try to justify the wife thing here, it’s all definitely crossing the line. I know she gets her heart broken in the episode with Naomi.
  • I wish I had her lingerie. More importantly, I wish I looked good enough to pull it off. I’d look terrible in it!
  • That little shoulder kiss while he’s asleep…she definitely fell for Ashok so hard.
  • I love her friendship with Ben. They’re so cute! Is this the only scene where we actually see Vanessa? I’m surprised they never really let us see her. But oh my God, Ben is so funny when he knows he’s about to get sex.
  • This show isn’t that old, but I doubt that trans joke would fly today. I love her friendship with this hotel employee too. It’s cute.
  • This guy from the hotel bar seems familiar. I’m kinda wondering if I’ve seen the actor in something else but I’m too lazy to imdb him right now.
  • I love when she looks at the camera like she’s on The Office.
  • 3 hours 41 minutes? Damn… Of just this the whole time? I can’t imagine anything more boring.
  • Whoa…that wouldn’t fly today either. She sticks her finger up his ass without warning or consent and then says, “If you ask them first, 90% will say no. But hey, once it’s up there…” Yikes. She just sexually assaulted this guy and it’s played off as a joke. I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable right now.
  • Her description of herself as a real girlfriend sounds like me if I’m being honest.
  • I love her and Ben so much. I love that she calls him first thing when she gets off work.

Final Thoughts

That was a fun episode but I’m a little shocked at what she did to that guy from the bar. I don’t think I ever viewed it that way before but it’s definitely not a good thing. Alright, on to the next one!

Robin Hood 2x13 "We Are Robin Hood!"

Here we are...at the season two finale. It happened too fast! The first two seasons of this show are absolutely amazing and wonderful, but then this episode is the turning point. The show made two horrible mistakes here and it will never recover from them in the third and final season. The third season is missing all of the magic that made the first two seasons so great. It almost feels like a different show in some ways, in my opinion anyway. As much as I would've loved to stop before the season two two-part finale and just go back to the beginning again, the rewatch must go on. So here we go... Warning: This post randomly includes two bullet points with Buffy the Vampire Slayer spoilers. I give a spoiler alert right before I go into my points (I'm comparing similar aspects between the two shows), but be cautious if you haven't seen/finished Buffy, plan to watch Buffy, and you're the type of person whose eyes wander around the page. Robin Hood 1x05 "Turk Flu"

It's Djaq's first episode!!! Yay! I've been looking forward to this! Djaq is my absolute favorite character in the show. I don't think this needs much of a lengthy introduction and I'm really eager to get started and see Djaq, so let's just get right into it! Thoughts While Watching: The episode opens with some kind of catastrophe at the Treeton Mine, people are dead, and Guy shows up to terrorize the villagers. This annoying kid Rowan is talking to his father and tells him to stand up to the sheriff. Every time a character on this show tells their father to stand up to the sheriff, the father dies. Every. Time. It happens to Rowan's dad, it happens to Will's dad, and it happens to Marian's dad.  Rowan's dad tells Guy that the miners are going on strike, Guy informs the sheriff of this who then taunts him that he shouldn't be giving them choices, and Guy kills him. That's "good man" Guy of Gisborne for you. The sherif...

Robin Hood 2x10 "Walkabout"

We're getting down to the last couple of episodes of the show's golden age before it starts spiraling downward and out of control and it's making me sad just thinking about it...but we're not there yet! We still have a couple great episodes to go! In this one we have definitive proof that the sheriff was not lying about his pact with Prince John because all of Nottingham is about to be destroyed when the sheriff decides to go sleepwalking and is missing on the designated check-in day. This is a fun one, so let's get into it. Thoughts While Watching: We open with a confusing but kind of hilarious scene where the sheriff is having a nightmare about Robin stealing the Pact, he keeps mumbling about it in his sleep, and he wakes up in the middle of the forest in his black silk pjs. Guy shows up at the castle and finds Prince John's envoy there who explains that he meets with the sheriff every other Thursday to make sure he's still okay, but today he'...
