Secret Diary of a Call Girl 2x04

Is this the episode where Alex and Ben finally meet each other? With the incredibly awkward threesome with Bambi and the even more awkward three way lunch date between Hannah, Alex, and Ben? I think so. This is a fun one, let’s begin!

Thoughts While Watching

  • Alex and Hannah are really cute. I agree with Hannah’s excuse, even if it is just an excuse and not the truth. I don’t think the person you’re dating can just invite themselves to a friend hangout. I think it’s rude.
  • The sponge trick is useful for everyone to know.
  • Oh, lord. This guy’s mustache is too much, in combination with that hairstyle, personality, and fashion sense…oh no. There’s not enough money in the world.
  • Bambi really does look ridiculous. Belle needs to give her lessons in how to fake arousal.
  • Aw, look at her feeling guilty! So much for being “professional” about it though.
  • Ben’s getting so jealous and it’s adorable! I like Alex a lot, but I’m 100% team Ben.
  • I don’t think she was using him as a decoy at all. I think Ben’s just trying to wreck it because he’s jealous and he knows if Alex finds out, he’ll bail.
  • Alex is getting really clingy really fast, but it’s understandable because of how mysterious she always is.
  • Why would she tell him that Bambi has a drinking problem? Why does she try to hide Bambi from everyone, both Alex and her sister in season three? All she has to do is tell Bambi to keep the secret and I’m sure she’ll be fine. She’s friendly, laidback, and warm. Letting people meet her wouldn't be awkward at all.
  • I’m not gonna lie, I’d be upset if my friend did that to me with the wine comment.
  • Hannah really shouldn’t bring up the fact that they’re fighting in front of him. So awkward. They’re both at fault here though. Hannah shouldn’t have made those initial comments, Ben retaliated way more than was necessary out of jealousy, and then Hannah really blew it out of proportion and made it a public awkward mess.
  • They both just made it incredibly obvious that there’s unresolved romantic feelings between them. And Alex called it. He could tell immediately that Ben has feelings for her. And that’s exactly what this scene was, it’s not about her living a double life or lying, it’s about her having romantic feelings for someone else and Ben can’t deal.
  • Wasn’t it just last episode that she tried to break up with him and he refused to let her and now in this episode he’s saying that he’s not sure if he wants to continue it because she doesn’t seem as invested as he is? She did warn him. But of course now after that romantic speech and her guilty visions of him during that threesome, she’s realized she’s in love with him.

Final Thoughts

That lunch was wonderfully awkward and overdramatic. It’s a tough situation that I’ve been in many times. I’ve mentioned before that I have a friend that I have a very Hannah/Ben type relationship with and whenever I meet a girl he’s involved with, there’s always a bit of awkwardness though it’s usually not quite as obvious as that was. He knows my husband well enough that it’s not awkward that way around but there is some lingering jealousy both ways between the two of them. It’s never easy to stay friends with someone who you have a history with especially when the feelings might still linger for one or both of you. There’s always complications but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth it to try if you care about the person.

Robin Hood 2x03 "Childhood"

This is a really cute episode! I loved seeing how the gang has already become legendary enough that they've reached a kind of superhero status for the local children who play as their favorite outlaw. The kids were adorable and the whole episode was sweet and fun. I definitely rewatch this one a lot and I'm excited to see it again, so let's begin! Alright, Guy fans...this pic is for you! Thoughts While Watching: The episode starts out with four little boys playing Robin Hood. We know which one is supposed to be Robin himself (Daniel), but I'm wondering who each of the rest of them are supposed to be. There's six outlaws total at this point so not all of them are going to be represented. I'm not sure if their outfits are just what they normally wear or if they're supposed to be dressed up as their chosen outlaw, because one of them seems to be wearing an outfit similar to Will's and another looks like he's wearing a vest that sort of remind...

Robin Hood 3x04 "Sins of the Father"

I took about a two month break from my rewatch. Since I last reviewed an episode I've been working on a Robin Hood fanfic (the rough draft is finished and I'm editing now and trying to work up the courage to post it), rewatching random episodes of other shows (kinda on a Charmed kick lately), and started a new rewatch of Robin Hood with a fan group I'm in. I've also, of course, been dealing with real life. I know quarantine is over for most people, but not my family! I'll still be out of work until at least the end of August (I work in a school and while I absolutely love my job, I'm honestly considering looking for a new one because I'm really concerned about the uncertainty of the upcoming school year) and my husband is still mostly working from home. At least that means I still have time to watch my shows! I think another reason the rewatch has been going so much slower for season three is that my heart is really just not in it. I love seasons one and two...

Robin Hood 3x05 "Let the Games Commence"

We left off last time with Kate officially joining the gang and I think, if I recall correctly, this episode has the first appearance of Isabella and the return of Guy. Is this the lion episode? I feel like this is the episode with a random lion in it, but I don't remember much else. Let's begin! Thoughts While Watching It's Isabella! I was right! Out of all the new characters for season three, she's the one I remember liking the best.  Yeah, kick his ass, girl! Love how she faked him out! Okay, so...I barely remember anything about season three which is making this difficult for me to understand. If I recall correctly, in the flashback episode (Bad Blood? I think...) it's revealed that Robin knew both Guy and Isabella when they were children. I'm guessing he just doesn't recognize her here. Do they bring up the fact that he knows her and knew Guy had a sister at all before that episode? Or do they just make it seem like Robin forgot about them? I...
