Robin Hood 3x10 "Bad Blood"

I have some mixed feelings on this episode and I'm really interested to see how my opinion on it has changed now that I just rewatched the whole series and everything is fresh in my mind. Especially now that it's been a long time since I first watched it so I no longer have that initial shock of "wtf is this show doing?" anymore. Let's get started. The one thing that I will say for this episode is they had great casting. They picked actors who genuinely looked like they could be the parents or younger versions of the regular actors. Thoughts While Watching LMAO! The way Robin said "Really?" in that tone. He genuinely views Guy as too pathetic to even bother with right now. Okay so hooded stranger (I do remember who it is, by the way) says that he knows the root of the bad blood between them and that he knows the truth of how their parents really died. Cool. Except that before this point it was NEVER shown that their parents' deaths had AN...

Robin Hood 3x09 "A Dangerous Deal"

I think this episode is the Meg episode and if so I remember liking it so I'm excited to get started on this one! Let's begin! Thoughts While Watching So Robin’s sneaking in on Isabella in her bedroom and confronts her about becoming the new sheriff and Isabella immediately points out how rare it is for a woman to have a chance to get power like that. I know she’s crazy and going on a downward spiral to the dark side and will ultimately extremely screw over one of my favorite characters (Allan), but you know what, good for her. She’s right.  Wait, why would she fall when the prince does when the king returns? Just because Prince John appointed her that means she’s “working with a traitor” and against King Richard? I don’t think so. The previous sheriff is dead (or so they think). A new sheriff needs to be appointed. King Richard gave Prince John the authority to do that. She was legally appointed by the man that King Richard left in charge. Unless she directly helps P...

Robin Hood 3x08 "The King Is Dead, Long Live the King..."

I don’t really remember much of anything about this episode and have no idea what’s coming, but let’s begin! Thoughts While Watching I wish there were scenes of them training in seasons one and two. I’d like to see that version of the gang having fun like that. So we’re doing the fake king thing again. Cool cool. I remember this episode now. “Long live me” LMAO I love him. You’d feel it if he was dead, Robin? What? Poor Much is scared of a dead body lol This makes me wonder what would happen if you held a candle up to a body that was dead for a month. I know there are stories of some people from the Middle Ages who decomposed so badly that they had to be poured into their graves. Cool that Kate was able to figure out he was wax though. The Prince isn’t falling for your crap, Isabella. At least not yet. I don’t remember if he does later. Oh, sure, Kate. There’s no time. He has to get in the tight space with you. Ugh. Oh, geez…Prince John clearly has some pent up rage. ...

Robin Hood 3x07 "Too Hot to Handle"

Okay, so I vaguely remember this one and if I recall correctly it was so much fun! Is this the one where Robin and Isabella are getting sexy with the strawberries? I think it is! Let's begin! Thoughts While Watching So we start off with a scene establishing that there's a massive heat wave and a drought which is obviously causing the poor to suffer while the gang struggle to try to help them. Then it cuts immediately to a sexy sweaty scene with Isabella and Prince John who are obviously not suffering at all in the castle. Love it.  Oh my God, Guy's just standing there awkwardly and hating every second while his sister is all over Prince John whispering into his ear about how hot he is. And then Guy complains and Isabella just gives him the best face ever. She knows how uncomfortable she's making him and she loves it. Robin, don't you think the poor could use those strawberries more than Isabella? He's looking at her like her eating is the sexiest...

Robin Hood 3x06 "Do You Love Me?"

It's the episode where Prince John finally shows up!!! He's been talked about throughout the entire show but only finally makes his first appearance in mid-season three (and if I recall correctly, he's only in a few episodes). He's worth the wait though; he definitely lived up to my expectations. Such a fun character, such a great actor, great writing for him, perfect amount of camp. Loved him. I'm looking forward to this! Thoughts While Watching I love how Prince John has the mentality of a sociopath toddler. This opening scene is oddly erotic. But we have the setup for the episode now! Prince John wants Guy to kill the sheriff and it turns out that all of Vaisey's paranoia was reasonable.  "I didn't stop and actually count them! I can't actually count." I love you, Much.   It's so hard for me to care about this Prince John vs. King Richard stuff. They were both terrible. King Richard is not the hero Robin likes to think he is. ...

Robin Hood 3x05 "Let the Games Commence"

We left off last time with Kate officially joining the gang and I think, if I recall correctly, this episode has the first appearance of Isabella and the return of Guy. Is this the lion episode? I feel like this is the episode with a random lion in it, but I don't remember much else. Let's begin! Thoughts While Watching It's Isabella! I was right! Out of all the new characters for season three, she's the one I remember liking the best.  Yeah, kick his ass, girl! Love how she faked him out! Okay, so...I barely remember anything about season three which is making this difficult for me to understand. If I recall correctly, in the flashback episode (Bad Blood? I think...) it's revealed that Robin knew both Guy and Isabella when they were children. I'm guessing he just doesn't recognize her here. Do they bring up the fact that he knows her and knew Guy had a sister at all before that episode? Or do they just make it seem like Robin forgot about them? I...
