Secret Diary of a Call Girl 2x02

So this is the episode in which Hannah considers getting a boob job and Bambi deals with a dangerous client. Let's start watching!

Is Secret Diary of a Call Girl: Season 2: Episode 2 on Netflix USA?

Thoughts While Watching

  • “I’ll put self-employed.” I’m laughing so hard at this. She really doesn’t need any work.
  • You know what I find interesting? She uses her clients for real life stuff. One of her clients does her taxes, now one of them is a plastic surgeon she’s going to see, but both of those things would require her real identity to be disclosed, right? Her taxes and her health insurance and all the legal and medical forms would have to be done under the name Hannah Baxter, not Belle No-last-name. Does that bother her at all? Isn’t it breaking her rule of keeping things separate?
  • I’m kind of getting tired of her making comments about how she can’t do this or can’t do that because she’s a prostitute.
  • She looks so worried for Bambi. It’s so sweet.
  • Bambi’s so adorable. I love how scared she is of Stephanie, how offended she gets about the porn comment, and how she stands up for herself anyway.
  • Stephanie cracks me up though. I love how snarky she is about everything.
  • Bambi was so shady in her first two episodes but I love her anyway.
  • David and Belle’s kind of almost-friendship they have is kind of cute. I mean, I know they’re client and escort but Belle seems to form almost friendships with some of them.
  • I love her freakout with the mustache!
  • At least that mustache faded somewhat before she got to her date. How did she not notice?
  • “Sometimes I like to draw facial hair on myself.” I’m dying. Poor Alex, he’s so confused.
  • I didn’t like the actor’s delivery of the line “What do you do?”
  • My mother in law had to get her breast implants taken out because they were recalled or something like that. He’s not wrong.
  • I love that she drops everything to go help Bambi and immediately stops caring about their fight. Her idea of looking for the shampoo bottles was pretty clever too.
  • Did Bambi used to cut herself?
  • Aww, she let Bambi stay the night. Bambi really wasn’t ever cut out for this job and in a lot of ways she’s almost like the anti-Belle, which becomes more apparent next season with Byron.

Final Thoughts

Was Ben even in this episode? I think he was missing. Interesting.

I'm glad that they showed how cautious you have to be about screening clients, what some of the red flags are that you need to be aware of, and how dangerous it is to just jump in without proper research or security. Belle has a better idea of what she's doing and how to screen clients because she's been at this a lot longer and learned the ropes while working for an agency but Bambi doesn't get that jumping straight into being independent before you have experience can be risky. I will say that Bambi is obviously doing some research since she reached out to Belle in the first place, but she definitely needs to slow down a bit. I'm so glad that everything worked out alright for her here and that the guy left and Hannah came over in time. That whole situation has to be terrifying.

Robin Hood 1x12 "The Return of the King"

Woo! We made it to the first half of the two part season one finale! These next two episodes are going to be an emotional rollercoaster, but a fun one! Djaq and Marian both get to absolutely shine in this episode too, which is fantastic (I think this episode is only the second or third instance in the entire show so far that passes the Bechdel Test, which isn't great...), and everyone involved in the cave scenes gets to really show off their acting abilities here in a big way. I'm excited for this one, so let's begin! Thoughts While Watching: Guy looks so awkward holding that bird. You don't feed your birds?! I'm calling PETA! The cave doesn't seem that bad. I'd rather be in there than out in the rain. "Bats are rats, rats with wings." This whole scene is great. I love Much. I didn't know that fact about bats was something they would've known back then. Makes sense that Djaq would be the one to know it. Djaq knows everything. ...

Robin Hood 2x03 "Childhood"

This is a really cute episode! I loved seeing how the gang has already become legendary enough that they've reached a kind of superhero status for the local children who play as their favorite outlaw. The kids were adorable and the whole episode was sweet and fun. I definitely rewatch this one a lot and I'm excited to see it again, so let's begin! Alright, Guy fans...this pic is for you! Thoughts While Watching: The episode starts out with four little boys playing Robin Hood. We know which one is supposed to be Robin himself (Daniel), but I'm wondering who each of the rest of them are supposed to be. There's six outlaws total at this point so not all of them are going to be represented. I'm not sure if their outfits are just what they normally wear or if they're supposed to be dressed up as their chosen outlaw, because one of them seems to be wearing an outfit similar to Will's and another looks like he's wearing a vest that sort of remind...

Robin Hood 3x09 "A Dangerous Deal"

I think this episode is the Meg episode and if so I remember liking it so I'm excited to get started on this one! Let's begin! Thoughts While Watching So Robin’s sneaking in on Isabella in her bedroom and confronts her about becoming the new sheriff and Isabella immediately points out how rare it is for a woman to have a chance to get power like that. I know she’s crazy and going on a downward spiral to the dark side and will ultimately extremely screw over one of my favorite characters (Allan), but you know what, good for her. She’s right.  Wait, why would she fall when the prince does when the king returns? Just because Prince John appointed her that means she’s “working with a traitor” and against King Richard? I don’t think so. The previous sheriff is dead (or so they think). A new sheriff needs to be appointed. King Richard gave Prince John the authority to do that. She was legally appointed by the man that King Richard left in charge. Unless she directly helps P...
